Clare Byrne grew up in northern New Jersey and earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Seton Hall University in 2012. From a young age, Clare felt a deep calling placed on her heart—to serve children with disabilities.

This calling was inspired by growing up alongside a sister with a disability, an experience that shaped her understanding of love, communication, and human dignity. Though her sister has difficulty expressing herself with words, Clare describes her love as the most profound she has ever known—a window into the depth and richness of life with disability.

In 2013, her profession and calling led her to Uganda, where she volunteered as an Occupational Therapist with the Catholic Medical Mission Board. There, Clare firsthand the stigma many of these families faced, especially parents seeking answers, services and understanding for their child’s condition.

Driven by these experiences, Clare founded Imprint Hope in 2016—a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality of programs and services to empower families on their journey or raising a child with a disability. Through Imprint Hope, Clare works to create a world where every child with a disability is recognized for their inherent worth and given the opportunity to thrive in their family environment.

Eniola Honsberger has served for over 13 years as Director of the Office of Family Life in the Diocese of Paterson, New Jersey. A founding board member of Imprint Hope, she brings both professional expertise and personal passion to her work. Born to Nigerian parents, Eniola has a deep appreciation for the cultural complexities surrounding disability in Africa. She is dedicated to celebrating the dignity, beauty, and God-given gifts of every child, and to promoting greater understanding and inclusion for children with disabilities.

Elizabeth Maggio brings a diverse background spanning nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and corporate finance. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Texas A&M.

Elizabeth has played key roles in launching FOCUS Varsity Catholic programs at the University of Nebraska and Seton Hall. She also led development and alumni relations for the Catholic Center at the University of Texas, where she was responsible for strengthening donor engagement and advancing long-term fundraising initiatives.

In the corporate sector, Elizabeth has held roles in portfolio management with Morgan Stanley, as well as financial accounting and forecasting for Hewlett Packard. Her combined experience gives her a unique ability to bridge strategic business management with impactful nonprofit leadership.

In addition to her professional work, Elizabeth has served in leadership roles for a variety of groups including Pastoral Council, School Advancement Committee, and the FOCUS Alumni Board of Directors.

Elizabeth Marcolini is the CEO of Rose Roofing and Restoration, a high-growth construction company that has doubled in size every year since its founding. She is the author of the Pocket Guide to the Works of Mercy and NYT Best Selling co-author of Bella’s Gift. She earned her B.A. from the University of Dallas and has a Masters in Theological Studies from the John Paul II Institute. She resides in Virginia with her husband, Matt and their three children, Zelie, Gianna, and Lorenzo.

Kristy Goulart is a founding board member of Imprint Hope. She is deeply committed to strengthening families and ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow and thrive in a healthy, nurturing environment.

For 12 years, Kristy served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), representing the best interests of children in foster care and advocating for their well-being in court. Earlier in her career, she was an elementary school teacher before choosing to stay home to raise her four daughters.

Kristy earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences from the University of the Pacific. She also served for nine years on the board of Assumption College for Sisters, where she supported the college’s mission of educating religious sisters from developing countries so they could return home to serve their communities.

Faith and family are at the center of Kristy’s life. After God, her greatest joy is her husband of 45 years, their four daughters and sons-in-law, and their 12 grandchildren.

Joseph Woelkers has built a distinguished executive career spanning both the public and private sectors, with expertise in launching new programs, leading organizational turnarounds, and overseeing large, complex operations across cancer care, healthcare delivery, university administration, biotechnology, foundations, and international private enterprises.
Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles with respected organizations including the University of Michigan, Johns Hopkins University, University of Florida, Health Care Operations International, LLC, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, National Childhood Cancer Foundation, and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler / University of Texas at Tyler. He currently serves as President of JFW Enterprise, LLC.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Woelkers has maintained a longstanding commitment to community service through extensive nonprofit and foundation leadership. He has served on numerous local and international boards, frequently in leadership capacities including Board Chairman. Among his most meaningful contributions has been his work with hospice organizations. As Chairman of the Board for Haven Hospice from 2004 to 2008, he led a major restructuring and expansion initiative that helped establish the organization as the largest rural hospice provider in the United States at the time, serving communities throughout Central and Northeast Florida, including Jacksonville. Since 2017, he has also served on both the operational and foundation boards of East Texas Hospice.

David is passionate about children’s causes and a supporter of Imprint Hope’s mission since 2020.

David has served in senior management roles in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry for the past 25 years, holding chief medical and chief executive roles in both the private and public sector. With expertise in drug development in immune oncology, chronic viral hepatitis, and rare pediatric diseases, his experience includes several product approvals for chronic hepatitis C, chronic hepatitis B, autoimmune disease, and the rare aging syndrome in children called progeria.

Dr. Apelian received a BA and a PhD in Biochemistry from Rutgers University, an MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, pediatrics residency training at NY Presbyterian Hospital, an MBA at Quinnipiac University, and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Theolytics, a privately held immune oncology company based in Oxford, UK.

Heidi is passionate about children’s causes and a supporter of Imprint Hope’s mission since 2020. Heidi has been actively involved in various charitable causes for the past 25 years volunteering her services to hospice care for terminally ill patients and as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for disadvantaged children. Heidi and David are parents to three
daughters.

Dayna is a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist with both a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Baylor University. Her experience spans a wide range of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, private practice, and Early Childhood Intervention programs serving children from birth to age three. She has worked in clinical environments as well as home-based settings, partnering directly with families to strengthen carryover skills and improve long-term outcomes. Her background includes service in both urban and rural communities, as well as experience working with children and families along the Texas-Mexico border, allowing her to provide culturally responsive and family-centered care.

Kara is currently board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. For the past twenty years, she has provided patient and family-centric care, while directing clinical operations in Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and Aeromedical realms. Her love of continuing education in critical care medicine continues to be fulfilled at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she is privileged to be on the Cardiovascular Surgery team, in conjunction with Harvard Medicine. She has recently started her own practice in preventative medicine. Her passion for integrative medicine stems from her own multi-system trauma at the age of 21. As a life-long learner, she continues to invest in her education to provide the utmost patient safety, while elevating best practice guidelines, as medicine continues to evolve.

After training at Merrill, Tom helped grow a startup cosmetics company into international distribution. He later transitioned into the glazing sector, restoring historic buildings throughout New York City. His career progressed through executive finance roles, serving as a CFO in both the construction and event industries before moving into private equity, where he currently works. Beyond his professional pursuits, he dedicates his time to coaching youth soccer and providing hospice care. He and his wife, Kara, live happily together while raising their teenage son, an avid high school soccer player.

Born in 1949 in Indianapolis and raised in New Castle, he graduated from Ball State University in 1971 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He began his professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Chicago, spending 12 years with the firm across multiple offices, including Orlando and the National Office in New York City.

In 1983, he joined Hughes Supply, Inc. as Chief Financial Officer. At the time, the company was a small family-controlled public wholesale distributor of construction and industrial materials operating 12 branches across Florida and Georgia. He oversaw all financial operations, including SEC reporting, investor relations, internal auditing, strategic planning, and the company’s merger and acquisition program. During his tenure, Hughes Supply expanded from $180 million in annual sales to a $6 billion enterprise with more than 100 locations across 42 states before its acquisition by The Home Depot in 2006.

Following the sale of Hughes Supply, he founded a consulting firm in 2007 focused on strategic growth planning, mergers and acquisitions, and business sales and marketing advisory services. In retirement, he remained active in civic and faith-based leadership, serving as a founding board member of the Catholic Foundation of Central Florida, which grew to manage more than $100 million in funds and became a primary fundraising organization for the Orlando Diocese through 2025. He also served on the Advisory Board of the Catholic Campus Ministry at the University of Central Florida and participated on the boards and advisory boards of several privately held companies.

Ordained in 1993, Msgr. Geno Sylva is the Rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson, New Jersey and the Episcopal Vicar for Special Projects for the Diocese of Paterson. He currently sits on the Board of the Paterson Prep Charter School as one of its founding Board Members and serves as the founding Director of the Compostela After School Catechetical Program for the children of Paterson. He serves as Chaplain for the Paterson Police and Fire Departments, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department, and the New York Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has a B.A. in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. He earned a Licentiate and Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology at University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He was a teacher, chaplain, coach and then President of DePaul Catholic High School and the founder of Young Prophets Teen Outreach for the City of Paterson. He is the Founding Director of St. Paul Inside the Walls, the Catholic Center for Evangelization and was the Episcopal Vicar for Evangelization for the Diocese of Paterson. From 2012-2018, he served as the English Language Official on the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization at the Vatican. In the spring of 2023, he was nominated by Pope Francis as a Member of the Dicastery for Evangelization at the Holy See.
