ABOUT OUR EFFORTS
Imprint Hope outreaches to families living in rural villages throughout Uganda to provide access for medical and rehabilitative care for children with disabilities. Our skilled team of Ugandan professionals connect with government and local leaders to identify vulnerable children and families, who require support.
Upon identifying and assessing a child with a disability, Imprint Hope works with specialized hospitals to provide assistance for children to access the vital surgery and medication they need to help them on their rehabilitation journey.
After accessing the necessary medical intervention the child requires, Imprint Hope invites the family to our educational center for an intense 7-week training course. During the 7-week training course the child is provided daily physical and occupational therapy to help facilitate progression in the child’s developmental milestones, as well as educate and train the parents on how to engage and help their child on a daily basis upon discharge back home.
Throughout the 7-week training course, we witness timid parents rise up to be educated and empowered advocates for their child with a disability.
Imprint Hope's presence in Uganda taught me that my child's life has a purpose.
